U.S. President Joe Biden announced another round of anti-Russian sanctions. According to the American leader, they will affect Russia’s sovereign debt. The U.S. actions will cut off Moscow from Western financing.
The sanctions list also includes two Russian banks: VEB and Promsvyazbank with more than forty subsidiaries. This includes the CSKA soccer club, which VEB owns with a 77% stake.
This share is the initial one. According to Biden, the U.S. did not use up all of its sanctions potential at once, and will spend it gradually.

Extremely disagreed with this decision was House Speaker and Democratic Party representative Nancy Pelosi, who insisted on a maximum sanctions strike right away

We should not expect anything good from the European Union either. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is already promising to hit where it hurts the most: the economy.
The Kremlin has already responded
.
The comments by press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov seem extremely ironic. When asked if anyone in the Kremlin saw Biden’s speech, he said: “No, we didn’t. The president is having a working meeting.”
Guess what this answer means in diplomatic language.
