A selection of books for those looking for recipes for success in the Russian business context. Based on the real experience of Russian managers.

“Difficult Subordinates.”

In any team, there are difficult employees who spoil team relations, affect overall productivity and interfere with building the dream team. Firing them is a last resort. Well-known Russian manager Maxim Batyrev suggests another way: find an approach to a problematic subordinate and win him over to your side.

Before writing this book, the author collected and analyzed several thousand cases of Russian managers. It turned out 15 categories of difficult employees – from tardy and non-initiative to burned out and narcissistic. These are the basic types that occur in every company. Batyrev describes them in the book and tells how to work with them. All the advice is tested in practice.

“Effective or dead.”

Mankind is entering a series of tectonic changes and their speed is such that between the next leaps to breathe will simply have no time. Instability factors are triggers of new peripeteia. Under these conditions the notions of “management” and “anti-crisis management” become synonymous.

Vladimir Mozhenkov, the author of the book, had nine economic turbulences under his belt. He not only saved the business, managed to restore pre-crisis figures, but also brought the company to a new level, leaving his competitors behind. In his book he shares managerial tips and tricks that helped him succeed in the midst of total instability. They can be applied in any time and in any industry.

“Business Hacks for Every Day 2.0.”

More than 270 tricks, tips, and tricks to save time, money, and other resources. This book will arm you with the most useful and effective tools so you can learn to find simple and effective solutions, stop being afraid of failure, and be more productive and happier.

The authors of this book have prepared a “squeeze”, a concentration of the best practices and techniques – from their own experience, from hundreds of the best business books and articles. In addition, favorite and most useful business hacks were shared by the authors and employees of MIF, readers of Igor Mann, friends and colleagues.

“Champion Leaders.”

This book is about leaders who lead beyond textbooks. Who consistently deliver outstanding results, transform their companies and deliver outstanding results even in challenging times. The book examines the cases of executives such as Alexander Dyukov (Gazpromneft), Evgeny Kaspersky (Kaspersky Lab), Herman Gref (Sberbank) and Vitaly Saveliev (Aeroflot).

The authors conducted in-depth research to understand what leadership attitudes and practices helped them create successful corporations, in the face of turbulence, knowledge obsolescence, government interference, and the socio-cultural specificity of leadership.

All of MIF’s books on management are here.
