It seems like every device these days has a dark mode that dims all the colors on your screen, giving it a sleek new look. The Nintendo Switch is no exception.
Every model of the Nintendo Switch has a “Basic Black” dark mode theme, which you can turn on at any time. Here’s how.
How to turn on dark mode on a Nintendo Switch
The Switch’s dark mode affects the home screen, folders, settings menus, News app, and Album app. Everything else, like your games or the eShop app, won’t change.
To turn it on, you’ll need to open the System Settings menu.
1. Head to your Switch’s home page and select the System Settings icon from the bottom toolbar. It looks like a gear.
Click the gear icon.
