Hacked Yandex Go group on Vkontakte sent out malicious links to subscribers

Attackers have hacked the official group of taxi and delivery service “Yandex Go”, reported the press service of the company. The report said that the attackers had sent an offer to some subscribers of the community with an appeal to take part in a fake contest, which contained links to phishing sites. Yandex recommends users who received such emails not to respond and not to click on the links from them. Fake messages were deleted two minutes after the mailing, during which time the link was clicked by 332 people, reported the press service of “Vkontakte”. They said that the account of one of the administrators of the group was hacked by password manipulation or through phishing. “The hacked account added an intruder to the group, which launched a phishing mailing. After two minutes, we stopped the mailing and deleted all the messages. Also, the pages of the attackers were immediately blocked,” the company said (quoted by TASS). All users who clicked on the phishing link were notified accordingly, as well as recommendations to change their passwords. Subscribers of “Yandex Go” community in “Vkontakte” have complained on mailing with fake draw earlier on December 20. To participate it was necessary to follow a link to another site, which offered to enter your bank details to win a prize of $ 3,000. Some users wrote in the comments to the group’s posts that they had followed the instruction and lost money in their accounts.
