Yamaha will release two electric scooters at once next year. As it turned out, the E01 and E02 concepts, shown back in 2019, will become serial ones.
It is known, that novelties will be released in Europe and Asia. Supposedly, Yamaha E01 will get an engine of 15 hp or less to fit into the class of light electric scooters in Europe. This is the equivalent of the class of 125cc scooters in the ICE. Normally, such scooters are limited to a top speed of 90 km/h, which is more than enough for the city.
Yamaha E02 will be more compact, acting as an alternative to 50cc scooters with ICE. In its case, power is likely to be only 5.3 hp or less with a top speed of no more than 45 km/h. Unlike its older sibling, the younger model may get a removable Gogoro battery, but this has not yet been confirmed.
