Pioneered by ACCESS, the online MCLE was approved by the Supreme court en banc in 2019. “It was really through our efforts that MCLE online is now a reality. Before us, many talked of doing it. But no one pursued it with a passion like we did. And though others have followed suit, we remain to be the country’s trusted and leading online MCLE provider with courses that are designed to educate,” recounts Atty. Peaches Martinez-Aranas of ACCESS. Regardless of time and place, lawyers can complete the required 36 MCLE online and be allowed to sign pleadings filed in court. “We don’t want lawyers to just comply with the mandatory requirement of the law, we want lawyers to actually learn. We want them to enjoy and draw real value from our courses,” Atty. Aranas adds.

Producing the MCLE online courses required intensive and extensive production efforts. ACCESS worked with Adamson University’s College of Law, to formulate a curriculum that covers current developments in law. Together with a team of instructional designers, a production house, and a creative agency, ACCESS created engaging online courses that are designed for absorption and retention. Every step of our course development was done based on best practices to re-define “MCLe-learning.”

Taking it a step further, ACCESS believes that true online learning is more than just listening to the lesson. Thus it incorporated interactive features in its digital courses, with lecture guides, fun games and quizzes, and an online MCLE Proctor. “When we think of true online learning, it should be engaging and participative,” underlines Atty. Aranas. “We want our learners to be glued to our courses. Thus, we developed courses that enhance learning with interactivity. Our courses can be enjoyed by learners of all ages, including senior citizens.”

This 2021, ACCESS now offers 36 online and on demand courses that cover various topics, from Updates on Substantive and Procedural Laws and Jurisprudence, to Trial and Pre-Trial Skills, Legal and Judicial Ethics, and International Law and International Conventions, among many others.
