We’re getting closer and closer to the happiest time of the year!
Tomorrow we will be observing the third Sunday of Advent and what better way to celebrate than to focus on filling our lives—and homes—with love, hope and peace. After all, focusing on these should be our true reason for the season.
Christmastime makes us extra generous, thoughtful and reflective. I had the good fortune of spending some much needed time off in one of the most pristine beach destinations this world has to offer. There’s nothing like a few days in Boracay to give myself a good reset, especially during the holidays.
Augusto 1055’s Rustic Christmas Tree
Christmas has begun at Discovery Shores Boracay which officially commenced its festive season celebration with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. I had the opportunity to light the resort’s 18-ft Christmas tree together with hotel manager Erwin Lopez. Located just a few steps from Boracay’s famous White Beach, the tree is adorned with ornaments that showcase the multiple shades and hues of the sea.

As soon as the symbolic switch was turned on, Christmas lights illuminated Discovery Shores’ lobby as well. Everyone present were then serenaded with a medley of Christmas carols by the Boracay ATI Choir.
Discovery Shores Boracay’s Christmas Tree
The resort’s theme this year is “Love, Christmas.” It puts emphasis on love in all forms—love for family, love for life, love for big and small moments, love for friends, love for colleagues, love for the community, love for guests, love for country, love of food and love for nature. The theme also puts special emphasis on spreading the holiday spirit in the form of love letters. Such a sweet and traditional way of expressing love, don’t you think?
