Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to approve measures for a gradual increase in the minimum share of Russian wine products on the shelves of retail chains, as well as restaurants and cafes. This is stated on the website of the Kremlin. “A phased increase in the minimum share of Russian wine products in the assortment of retail chains and public catering organizations licensed to retail sale of relevant goods, including through their priority supply. The deadline is 1 July 2022,” it was informed. In addition, it is proposed to approve a set of measures on development of domestic tourism and creation of excursion routes and related infrastructure. The deadline for endorsement of the package of measures is 1 July 2022. The order was given to the government as well as the authorities of Dagestan, the Crimea, Sevastopol, the Krasnodar and the Stavropol Territories, the Rostov region. The deadline is set for July 1, 2022. Earlier, representatives of several wine trading companies told the Vedomosti that some wine may disappear from stores on January 1, 2022, because the authorities decided not to extend the moratorium on the 345-FZ with amendments to the law on the regulation of the alcohol market. The law introduced a new classification of wine products, which necessitated changes in the names on the counter-labels of most products and the adoption of new declarations of conformity.
