Citrus low-cost airline of S7 group, which will launch its first flights in summer 2022, has chosen an air ticket booking system. It is Russian OPC (Online Reservation Systems, previously the product was called TAIS PSS), whose majority shareholder is Vitaly Vantsev, co-owner of Vnukovo Airport and Azimut Airlines. A representative of S7 and Alexander Sizintsev, general director of PSS, told Vedomosti. Citrus plans to open ticket sales in spring 2022, S7 Group co-owner and CEO Tatyana Fileva said earlier. “Citrus selected OPC following a tender. Both foreign and Russian booking systems participated in the tender,” said Tamara Nikiforova, an S7 representative. She explained the choice by the fact that ORS corresponds to the plans and needs of the low-cost carrier. OPC is a passenger service system (PSS), which includes an inventory system, where the airline stores data on flights, fares and capacity. Ticket reservations go through it as well; it is a key IT product for airlines. According to SPARK, the National Reservation System owns 100% of the shares of JSC ORS. In this company 84% belongs to Vantsev through “Development of reservation systems” LLC, another 16% is held by “Resource Management Technology”, in which three co-owners – Sizintsev, Andrey Miller and Alexander Spirin.
