There is nothing to replace energy supplies from Russia on the world market, and there is nothing to replace them with. This was stated directly and unambiguously by the Minister of Energy of Qatar, Saad bin Sharida al-Kaabi. And today his country does not possess the necessary capacities to fully satisfy the European demand.
Qatar’s
Ministry of Energy warns
Maybe Qatar will be able to do this someday in the future, but not today, when there is no alternative to Russian gas in the world. Especially considering the fact that today Russia is the largest exporter of blue fuel in the world.

It is difficult to even assume that Western politicians are guided by plans to stop and replace Russian energy imports, except for cheap populism and Russophobia, which has nothing to do with their own declared democratic values
.
But phobias are phobias, and business is business. So, sooner or later, financial calculations and pragmatism will outweigh idle chitchat by the real state of affairs.
TotalEnergies president about important things
This is probably what the chairman of the board of directors, president and CEO of the French oil and gas giant TotalEnergies, Patrick Jean Pouyannet, wanted to convey to European politicians when he emphasized the importance of long-term gas contracts for Europe
.
“For me, it is absolutely clear that tomorrow the price of gas in Europe will be higher than yesterday,” the French oilman reassured European political “hussars” at the annual forum in Qatar’s Doha.
When the words of the French and Qatari business leaders, or rather their meaning, will reach such stubborn people as Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz, Reuters was unable to report. Still, let’s wish them enlightenment in their hard struggle of logic with a lack of common sense.
