No market turmoil can break the persistently high natural gas prices in Europe. The cost of blue fuel continues to steadily gain weight against the background of the approaching heating season and winter weather temperatures.
The cost of 1000 cubic meters according to the index of Dutch TTF has reached $1170. The quotes’ growth over the last three trading sessions amounted to about 13%, while the oil prices over the same period lost more than 13%.
West Texas benchmark WTI slid from $79 to $68 per barrel. Meanwhile, the North Sea’s Brent slid from $82 to $71.
It is worth noting that the stability of gas prices has been observed precisely on the European market. Gas prices in the US are in line with general market trends. During the above mentioned period the gas prices in America also collapsed, as well as the oil quotations, from $5.50 at the end of last week to $4.67 on Tuesday.
