Colorful and Asus have almost 50% of local graphics card market
The developers of the popular in China test application Master Lu have published a study of the Chinese market of discrete 3D-boosters in the first quarter of this year. First place won Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. However, there is a nuance: in first place – the mobile version, for laptops. Desktop GeForce RTX 3060 is also in the top 10, but only in eighth place.
The most popular desktop graphics card is the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. It is in second place just behind the mobile GeForce RTX 3060. The third place is taken by the GeForce GTX 1650. As you can see, in the first half of the list of the most popular 3D gas pedals in China this year, a lot of models for laptops – in addition to RTX 3060 there and RTX 3050, and RTX 3050 Ti. And in sixth place is the mobile version of RTX 3070.
The Chinese graphics card market is quite distinctive, and the distribution of roles there is also interesting. The leading supplier of 3D cards is Colorful, a company which is far from the first positions in the same Europe. In second place is Colorful Asus, coming on the heels of Colorful. Together these two companies control almost 50% of the market! After them come MSI, Gigabyte and Zotac with almost equal shares of about 11.5%.
